The Village is participating in the Passport Application Acceptance Program at
the Village Office to assist U.S. citizens intent on international travel and
to protect the integrity of the U.S. passport as proof of citizenship.
Individuals
wishing to apply for a passport must appear in person (including minors) with appropriate application and present original documentation of citizenship,
including a previous U.S. passport, certified birth certificate or naturalization
certificate. Another seperate original document as proof of identification is also required, such as a valid
driver license or other government-issued identification. Applicants must bring
two passport size/quality photos (photographs are not available at the Village Office).
Application
fees for a passport book are $110 for applicants age 16 and over and $80 for age
15 and younger payable to the US Department of State.
Application fees for a passport
card are $30 for applicants age 16 and over and $15 for age 15 and younger payable
to the US Department of State.
There is also a $25 execution fee for all applicants
payable to the Village of Beverly Hills. All fees are set by the Department of State, please check their website at www.travel.state.gov for detailed information. Please note, the Village cannot accept credit/debit cards as payment.
Children
under the age of 16 must be accompanied by both parents.
If the second parent is not available, the applying parent will be required to
present additional documentation at the time of application.
Routine
applications take between 4 - 6 weeks to process. Regular office hours are 8:00
- 4:00 Monday through Friday. You are encouraged to call the office to make sure
an acceptance agent is available to process your application.
