Summer tax bills were delivered at the beginning of July. The summer tax bill is payable to
Southfield Township between July 1
st and September 14
th without interest or penalty. Please refer to the back of your tax bill for further information. If you did not receive a statement in July, please call the
Southfield Township Office at 248-540-3420.
You may be eligible for a Summer Tax Deferment on the home you reside in if you meet the following requirements:
- You have a total gross household income of $40,000 or less for the preceding tax year, and
- You are totally and permanently disabled, blind, paraplegic, hemiplegic, quadriplegic, or
- You are an eligible serviceperson, eligible veteran, or eligible widow or widower, or
- You are at least 62 years old
If you meet the requirements and own an eligible property, you may submit a deferment application to the Southfield Township Treasurer's Office by September 14, 2021. Applications are available
online or by contacting Southfield Township at 248-540-3420.
