14 Mile Road Paving - August 18

As part of the Village of Beverly Hills 14 Mile Road Reconstruction (Lahser to Evergreen) Project, the contractor is preparing to install the base layer of hot mixed asphalt (HMA) in the north lane (westbound). This work is anticipated to begin on Thursday, August 18, 2022, weather permitting.  The contractor plans to start on the west end on the project (Lahser Rd) and travel east to Evergreen Rd.  The contractor plans to start this work around 12:00 pm and finish around 7:00 pm the same day.

Please be aware that during the paving operation, trucks will be using the travel lane (westbound lane) to deliver material to the paving machine.  This may cause delays when traveling westbound along 14 Mile Road.  If you have to cross a newly paved sections, please watch your speed and sharpness of your turns as you traverse the new pavement as it may damage the new HMA. Once the asphalt is placed and compacted, please allow 1-2 hours for the new pavement to cool prior to driving on it.  Westbound traffic will remain closed after the lane has been paved.  Please follow the detour signs.

Your patience would be appreciated during the construction period.  Every effort will be made to minimize the inconvenience to you and your neighbors. Throughout construction, field representatives from the HRC and the Contractor will be available to address issues as they occur.  However, should you have any additional questions, please contact the following:
