Mainline paving has been completed along both sides of 14 Mile Road between Evergreen and Lahser. The weather conditions over the past week have forced the Contractor to work on only the drainage ditches, restoring the road right-of-way and installing shoulder material. This recent cold blast has prohibited the Contractor from finishing the driveways and intersection approaches on the south side of the road. This paving work, as well as traffic sign installation and pavement marking installation is scheduled for next week when the temperatures are predicted to rise. Should the weather not cooperate next week to allow the final paving work, the Contractor will paint temporary pavement markings on the roadway and will open 14 Mile Road to two-way traffic by the end-of-day on Wednesday. The Contractor will then complete the remaining paving work after Thanksgiving utilizing moving road closures and flagged traffic control. Again, we thank you for your continued patience and understanding as the 14 Mile Road Reconstruction Project nears its completion.
